Excellent Cuban food, and try the paella. Be prepared for a small environment with limited seating, but really worth it.
Really good jalapeno queso dip
Best fish tacos ever. Love the salmon salad with kickin' dressing. Great margaritas and awesome staff. Little gem in Candler Park!
This hands down has to be the best Spanish food I’ve had in a good while. The salsa really set the tone, it had the right amount of spice and didn’t skip out on the cilantro which I love! Next, I had the chicken soup which was so flavorful even in the small cup I had. And lastly, the Paella. I can honestly say I’ve never had a Paella so full of flavor and different spices that can all compliment each other. When I return back to Atlanta I know exactly where I’ll be returning to!
With the reviews, I thought it would be really good. It wasn't bad, just not great. The chips were hard but the salsa and queso were great. I ordered a veggie and shrimp quesadilla. It came with yellow rice and black beans. My quesadilla was burnt and the rice was hard. The service was good but I just wasn't impressed enough where I'd come back.
Good place for cuban/mexican food
Love their paella del Mar. Our go to dish on Fridays during Lent
Great season on the chicken also rice and beans were yummy as well. Service was friendly too. I wish the meals came with a tad bit more rice—other than that will be back !
Consistently good. Love the salsa. And the quesadilla. And the paella. And my kids love the beef enchiladas.
Decent food. Great service.
The place is small but buzzing. The food is good, large portions enough to share.
Love this funky little spot! Good food, good service, and delicious sangrittas!!! And it's so close we can walj
This is day two. Yes, I ate the Cuban sandwich two days in a row 😳. Chips and salsa...amazing. Excellent and efficient service too!
Visited this location for an early lunch during the week. The food and service were ok but not as good as usual. I had the paella which is served in a skillet that is normally piping hot. Today, it was warm at best, and it seemed like there was a lot more rice and a lot less chicken, shrimp, calamari and vegetables. Still, the food here is good, especially the roasted half chicken, which my lunch partner had. It's a small restaurant in a converted gas station with a nice homey feel.
Have loved the chicken reuben for the last 20 years. No longer living in Atl. and when in town I chicken reuben several times. Especially love Candler Park location for it's cozy feel.
Bestest. Tacos fire. CUBANS fire. Margheritas fire. If you don't know now you know.
I suggest the Cuban Sandwich! The Atmosphere was Laid back chill & perfect for a date night
Really, REALLY, great food! I give them a complete 5 stars. Why? Because they serve you food that tastes like it was made at home. Doesn't taste like restaurant food, totally has a homemade vibe. From the fresh tomatoes in the salsa to the paella we had. It was all awesome. Nuff said.
Best cuban food in Decatur Ga
Always yummy! Great service! Totones are soooo good. Also try their sandwiches. Some of my favorite in Atlanta.
I always love going to La Fonda and I always take a friend. I usually get the paella del mar Which has yet to disappoint me. The last time I went, my friend got a bocadillo and his mouth was too full to say anything about it, but it disappeared from his plate with a quickness. The horchata is great. This particular location is on the smaller end in size, so you might not get a table during busy times and parking is a bit wonky. But it's still worth it every time.
Good Latin food nice vibe ... not too many seats these days and you can't go inside due to covid and ordering is kind of difficult..
Just had the 🥘 (paella) del Mar! It was delicious! After just returning back from Ibiza and Barcelona, I am hooked on this dish and it not disappoint! My better half is going to love this dish!
A quick stop definitely worth it! Definitely not on my diet but got to live. I had the black bean quesadilla with chips and salsa and yellow rice amazing taste like home
This is the first time I been here. When we first walked in it seems like a small simple restaurant. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Great food presentation and good portions based on the price. I had the two chicken enchiladas. Definitely will be coming back
Very good complimentary chips and salsa! First come first serve seating.A nice variety of Latin cuisine.I'm a big fan of the veggie enchiladas and chicken soup.
Great Italian meal.
Had a very nice lunch here. Setting is cute. Very good food. Will likely come back
My favorite for arroz con pollio!
We were in Atlanta visiting family. Our daughter told us about this Tex-Mex place. We drove to the nearest parking lot and walked a block or two. It was a nice day. Even though it was busy we were seated promptly. I always like the complimentary salsa and chips. The salsa appeared to be freshly made in the store. It was perfect. The service was prompt. Our waiter appeared to be Cuban and the menu was bi-lingual. The food was warm and delicious. All the helpings were more than filling. Most of us were full and had food left over. The price was reasonable.
First time here. The building looks like it was an old corner gas station. Available parking on the lot is minimal and awkward, but I think there is other parking in the area. The dining area felt really crowded because of all the tables, but fortunately there were not a lot of people there because of the time of day. We went inbetween typical meal times. It seems like it could be overwhelming during a busy time. The food was great. I had the veggie burrito and I will definitely go back to have that again and to try other items on the menu. I really liked the mix of vegetables and the sauce used. It was slightly tangy, which was unexpected but really good. The guac was good but nothing to brag about.
Wow. This place was Amazing. Food was 5 stars, service was a lil slow but worth the wait. Must try if your in the area.
Great place to drop in for authentic Cuban cuisine. The madura was perfect and the Cuban sandwich options are creative. There's the classic Cuban which I chose and was delicious. While you wait for your food there's plenty of free, fresh, and warm chips and salsa.
Great quick and easy Mexican restaurant with amazing food. Paella was fantastic and the chips and salsa were good.
Been going to La Fonda for 20+ years! We used to come here on dates, now three kids later, it's still one of my husband and I's fave spots. Food is yum, as is the sangria!
Really good food. Wait wasn't long and the waiter was very attentive. I'll be going back. Great portions for your buck!!
Hands down my favorite Cuban - Latina restaurant in the world. The salsa is worth the entire trip. Food is fresh prepared on site and delicious. The one on McLendon Avenue is my place, go figure. :)
Upon walking into the restaurant we were greeted very poorly. No hello welcome or anything of the such. The gentleman who took the order seemed annoyed by our presence. We are African American. I decided to stay anyway because my friend ordered chicken rice and beans plate and a side of maduro's. I decided not to get anything because it was $11 for steak taco.Just two. Just meat lettuce and cheese. well we're waiting for our food we saw a roach on the table which further gave me pause. we receive no smiles but we noticed that the other customers that are Caucasian receive smiles and great accommodation. I would not visit this place ever again.
Food and service are always spot on. Parking can be a challenge but it's totally worth it.
Not enough parking or table space. Not enough staff, slow service but the service was excellent when it came. Also the food, absolutely worth the wait. Delicious! I'll just call in and pick up my order next time... No more dining in.
Reliably fresh and tasty Cuban cuisine. Every order comes with a generous portion of crisp chips and salsa, whether dining in or take out. Service always fast and efficient.
The food was good. The mimosa was not so good. It taste like an old bottle of Champaign that has been open without the top put back on mix with orange juice. In my opinion the midtown location has the best food and service
Great.Really good food, no a long wait for it, nice people we enjoyed our time here.
The cuban sandwiches are amazing q
I always get the Paella. It is really good!
Great food every time we go. I love the Chicken and Rice and the tacos. Favorite part of going here has to be the Mexican Icebergs. So refreshing.
Local chain with Spanish, Cuban and Mexican dishes. Great tacos and great paella.
The service was a little slow, especially since it was not a peak dining time, but the food was excellent.
This is a nice location in Candler Park. Parking is very limited so walk, bike, Uber if you can. Really wish there was outside seating. Instead of having car parking, the old gas station front could be used for some nice outside patio eating.
Fun place to come for a meal. Place isn’t that big and can fill up fast. That’s a good sign of good food. I’ve had many meals here that I loved however the Cuban I had this time was lack luster. Think I’ll stick with the tacos next time as those are great!!
